AfterSell's published pricing for new stores is now $34.99/mo + $0.05 per order above 500, capped at $999.99. The older plans were flat tiers with no per-order fee until 4,000 orders, and capped at $799.99. At 10,000 orders that's $509.99 instead of $329.99. Stores already on AfterSell stay on their old plan.

Some orders can never see an offer. AfterSell bills them anyway.

Shopify doesn't show the post-purchase page when a buyer pays with Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon Pay, Klarna, Afterpay or a gift card. No post-purchase app can upsell those orders, thank-you page offers still work on them, and on AfterSell they still count toward your bill. On Kairo they cost nothing.

“Even with minimal post purchase upsells setup, this app will potentially charge you hundreds of $ as it's pricing is based on TOTAL orders, not orders where the app is actually deployed. For us, the return on the investment was not worth it. We spent hundreds in charges for this app in one month alone, which given that all it really does is apply a very simple post purchase script, seems ridiculous.”

Only when it's earning you more. Kairo's price follows the revenue its offers bring in, from $8/mo. For a store with 2,000 orders and a $25 average upsell, Kairo at 20% brings in about $10,000 a month and costs $199 (2.0%). AfterSell at 7.7% brings in about $3,850 and costs $109.99 (2.9%).

As of September 2026, its published Post-purchase pricing for new stores charges $0.05 per order above 500, where the older plans were flat tiers with no per-order fee until 4,000 orders, and the monthly cap rose from $799.99 to $999.99. At 5,000 orders that's $259.99 instead of $179.99, and at 10,000 orders $509.99 instead of $329.99. Stores already on AfterSell keep their plan for now, but changing plans, including adding its new cart, moves you onto the current pricing.

Yes, until you uninstall it. AfterSell's billing docs say turning off its widgets or settings doesn't stop the charge; only uninstalling does. They suggest uninstalling at least a day before your next billing date.

Install Kairo and let the AI build your offers, which takes 3-5 minutes. AfterSell keeps running while you review them. Then choose Kairo under Settings > Checkout > Post-purchase page, and uninstall AfterSell to stop its bill. The Kairo team will also help you set up your first offer.

You can have both installed, but Shopify only lets one app power the post-purchase page at a time. Set Kairo up while AfterSell is live, then switch the post-purchase page to Kairo. AfterSell keeps billing on your store's orders until it's uninstalled.

No. Post-purchase offers, thank you and order status pages, flows, A/B testing and surveys all work without Plus. Only checkout page customization needs Shopify Plus, which is a Shopify rule and applies to AfterSell too.
